Music Sheet Painting

So I thought I was going to finish this tonight, but I was way off.  Blending colors is a lot harder than it looks. Anyway, here's what it looks like so far.

I've been working on my sheet music painting and should finally be completed tonight. It's taking a lot longer that I thought it would, but is turning out to be a success so far. :)

Newest Painting.

It's suppose to look like New York's skyline but didn't turn out too great. 

New Painting

Last night I did a painting for a friend. It was black, gray and white shadowing of the New York skyline.  As fun as it was to paint, it turned out to be quite crappy. It will be uploaded later today!

Too Many Techniques.

Despite all of the helpful techniques that I've learned, I ultimately believe that there just isn't a wrong or right way to paint, in my view that is.  Unless you're just straight up trying to become a pro...If your work looks good then why try learning a "set" way?  For me this goes with almost everything I learn unless it's just absolutely mandatory to learn whatever it may be the "right" way.  Watching others use their techniques and talk about their different methods of painting is interesting but I've learned that I just like to just paint, use some of my own "methods", and see what results are given.

Inspiration

This isn't mine but it inspired me to do something similar but with water color. I thought it was a neat idea and a good way to get rid of all my old sheet music.

Flight of Colors

Well today I spent most of my saturday finishing my first goal. It's kind of rough but hopefully it'll assist in future goals in using this type of medium!
